anime/manga review: Black butler

hey guys!,
 i figured of doing a few anime/ comic reviews on a handful of series i really recommend for either someone whos just starting on anime, curious on my tastes or just wondering if theres any other series i like instead of just hoemstuck or free! to start off im doing a series which anniversity is coming around for shutocon the convention im going to. i so wish i could cosplay alois with long hair but i feel it would go over my 60 dollar budget :/. sad i know but lets get to the review shall we? quote im only going to review series i either covered at least 9 episodes of or a season. this means my view on attack of titan is cut out because i never really had the urge to contienue :/ it gives the series a fair fight on my critics

    this series takes place in the victorian times in a place where queen victoria ruled over great britain. it revolves around the story of a boy named cecil whos parents died in a tragic fire and wants to avenge there death with the help of signing a contract with a demon renamed "sebastion" a loyal demon who has a passion of both black cats and  willing to serve his master for the exchange of cecils soul after the mystery is solved. of course like any series certain events curballs and introducing of both new villians such as alois(only in the anime. in the manga it was more they were at a circus.which was areally good arc in my opion) to block his way. 

now as much as i want to spoil everything im just going to stop it right there. like deathnote, blue excercist, attack on titan and homestuck this anime falls on the tragedy theme of the series world. not that it's a bad thing at all. just for people who want a more cheery series wheres theres no bloodshed its not the series for you.  trust me this series like deathnote did to me may make you cry a bit on certain scenes. the artwork, im kinda picky about my anime choices because art style is accounted for is really good here. i mean its not as great as deathnotes artstyle but it blows pacman straight out of the water as well. it has a deep, mysterious plot that really pulls you into the charecters alot. some you might even dislike after seeing a certain scene.  

in the fandom itself it is rich in culture here. like they even made a musical of the series rich which had its humoristic charm the series only shows once in awhile but still has that bitter sweet taste its main plot holds. the cosplayers in this series i definatly give kudos for such the hard work. especially cecil in a dress(that will be explained in the sereis..)  or even grell. so much little detail the show displays cosplayers nail it. 

so for those who are looking for a good victorian bittersweet mysterious with a fandom as deepily detailed, humorous and charming as the series itself i recommend it. it will be a series that will take moderate work here but hard level on the cosplay itself due to such many details. if you'd like to talk abotu the series below ask questions, etc let me know at the bottom of the page
